California Fibers Artists: Best of the Best

Jo Griffith will have two of her art quilts in the California Fiber Artists: "Best of the Best" show at the Front Porch Gallery located at 2903 Carlsbad Boulevard, CA.  The show starts March 30th and runs through May 25th. "Appearances" Exhibit at Glendale Quilt Show

jo griffith will have some of her art quilts in the latest Quilts On The Wall exhibit entitled "Appearances". This exhibit will have its debut showing at the 35th annual Glendale Quilt show Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22 at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 East Green Street, Pasadena, 91101.

El Camino Real on display at UCI

Eileen Wintemute's "El Camino Real" art quilt is currently on display at the University of California Engineering Department. This piece depicts several California Missions. Each mission scene has been painted on fabric.  The photo below shows this art quilt.

Visit to California Fibers Show

Members of Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists recently visited Soka University to see the California Fibers Exhibit on display there. Here is a photos showing one piece made by Susan Henry (not a member of Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists) that we were all admiring.

"Cool Classic Rides" Exhibit

Teresa Shippy's "Cool Classic Rides",  a 27 piece fiber art collection has been added to another Mancuso Inc. show, Quiltfest Oasis in Palm Springs on October 2-4, 2014. This will be a total of 9 Mancuso shows for Cool Classic Rides. The first show kicks off next month with the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival which runs from February 27- March 2, 2014 in Hampton Virginia. Teresa gives shout- outs to Valdani Threads, Mancuso Inc. and Deborah Stanley, the curator for the collection.
