Teresa Shippy in Quilting Arts Magazine

Congratulations to Teresa Shippy! She is featured in the December 2016/January 2017 issue of Quilting Arts Magazine. Inside the magazine, Teresa talks about her art background, how her "Cool Classic Rides" series began and a peek inside her studio.


Also, Teresa is featured on "Quilting Arts TV" series 1900.

    Painting on antique tiles, can you wash these blocks after painting them?

    Hi Lynda, Yes you can wash....Be sure to heat set first, many times I'll let mine dry for a couple of day's outside in the sun. I usually do a combo; heat set along with 2 day's in the sun. Pro's/cons with washing, if you like a textured feel to you're fabric, avoid washing. If you prefer a softer feel, wash with orvus paste-cold quick cycle-let dry naturally. Orvus is a wonderful mild shampoo/detergent used for many things. I usually use when I want to break down the sizing of a particular fabric, before and after painting...Please let me know if you have additional questions.
