It's a Wonderful Life

"It's A Wonderful Life" detail by Eileen Wintemute

"My Inner Self Portrait"

A fine arts fiber exhibit exploring aspects of self-portraiture. In this exhibit the artist was asked to look beyond the mere physical and instead present an inner view. The art work may reflect how the artist sees themselves at this time, or at a formative moment in their life. Each piece reveals something unique to the individual and at the same time, that which is universal to all.

Today we feature Eileen Wintemute's fiber art piece, "It's a Wonderful Life" that is part of our brand new exhibit entitled "My Inner Self Portrait".

Eileen's Artist Statement – A loving husband, wonderful parents, family, friendship, art, fishing, science, engineering, a love of the outdoors...My life's blessings are too numerous to completely list, so let me just say it's a wonderful adventure and its not over yet!

This exhibit will debut at the 2015 Road to California quilt show, which will run from January 22 through 25 at the Ontario Convention Center.

This is the 25th anniversary for Road to California and we are proud to have this venue to showcase our new exhibit.

We are featuring details of each of the pieces leading up to the show. We hope you enjoy them and have a chance to see the full "My Inner Self Portrait" exhibit at Road.  For more information about the show, click on this link: Road to California

  1. The fish is so very life like. It's almost as if it is still wiggling and the hand! Wow! It is so beautifully executed.
