"Bird Removal" by Mia Bloom

Here is what Mia says about this piece:

"Pages from 'To Kill A Mockingbird' and 'Bye, Bye Birdie' were laminated onto tea stained silk organza. The final step was to cut out the shape of one bird flying away to emphasize the title, 'Bird Removal'."

"Call to the Heart"

"Call to the Heart" by Linda Friedman
Linda Friedman created this fiber art piece for the "Put A Bird On It!" exhibit.

This is Linda's artist statement:

"'I love you and I'll see you tomorrow", my father said as he kissed me goodbye. As we hugged, a crow called out from its perch atop a telephone wire. There was no tomorrow. An accident took my father's life. From that fateful day forward, when I see and hear a crow utter its call, I hear, "I love you and I'll see you tomorrow." Yes, Daddy. I'll see you tomorrow."
