Reflections in Black and White at Palm Springs Oasis!

"Boundless" exhibit at Cerritos Library

“Boundless” exhibit will premiere at Cerritos Library  in August and September 2015. Each member was given an 18” x 36” stretched canvas to use as the base of their artwork. They were allowed to have their artwork go outside the boundary of the canvas. In the following weeks, detailed images from each member’s artwork will be featured on this blog.

Today's feature artist is jo p. griffith. Her piece is called "Goodnight Molly Upton, you're a long way from home."

"Boundless" exhibit at the Cerritos Library

“Boundless” exhibit will premiere at the Cerritos Library in August and September 2015. Each member was given an 18” x 36” stretched canvas to use as the base of their artwork. They were allowed to have their artwork go outside the boundary of the canvas. In the following weeks, detailed images from each member’s artwork will be featured on this blog. 

Today’s feature artist is Mia Bloom. She hasn't decided on a title yet. Materials used are rusted fabric, denim and thread.

“Inner Space” - whole cloth, machine quilting, hand embroidery, extensive three dimensional hand beading were used to celebrate the quiet times of meditation and reflection.
