About Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists

Who are we?

Beyond the Edge artists have a passion for incorporating fiber in their creative works. Our artistry is expressed through a wide spectrum of styles, techniques and materials, hence the name, "Beyond the Edge". Membership in Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists is invitational. New Members are added through a juried process.

This is our Mission Statement:

A group of professional Southern California artists came together to form Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists. Meetings are bi-monthly for the purpose of exploring a wide spectrum of styles, techniques and materials, as well as discussing opportunities to increase awareness of fiber arts as fine arts. Goals include exhibiting in diverse local, national and international venues for the purpose of creating an art bridge with the viewer by reflecting the common human experience.

Membership in Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists is invitational. New members are added through a juried process. Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists members are: ...

“We’re always attracted to the edges of what we are, out by the edges where it’s a little raw and nervy.”
— E. L. Doctorow
