Our "Put A Bird On It!" is traveling for the next few months. The first stop is the 15th Annual World Quilt New England. Click here for more information about this quilt show.

Radisson Center of New Hampshire
700 Elm Street
Manchester, NH 03101
August 17 -19, 2017

This is how we describe this exhibit:
“While the theme conjures up images in the mind of the viewer, the amazingly original art work provides insights into each artist’s individual vision and their interpretations of the subject. The diversity of their dreams is truly a gift.”

Two New Exhibits Debuting at Cerritos Library

BOUNDLESS AND SHAPED BY FIBER
TWO EXHIBITS BY BEYOND THE EDGE FIBER ARTISTS

Detail of "Good Night Molly Upton, you're a long way from home" by jo p. griffith

We are proud to announce that we will have two exhibits, “Boundless” and “Shaped by Fiber” on display at the Cerritos Library during the months of August and September, 2015.

Our new exhibit, “Boundless” features fiber art presented on a stretched canvas. Each artist was given an 18” x 36” stretched canvas to use as the base for their artwork.  Fiber art pieces were prepared for the canvas and stretched around it or adhered to it. The artwork in some instances extends beyond the boundary of the canvas. Come and experience this extraordinary fine art.

Shaped by Fiber” is an impressive exhibit featuring fiber art that goes beyond two dimensional wall hangings. The works shown in this exhibit include three dimensional forms, vessels, mounted fiber art, and hanging pieces. This stunning exhibit shows numerous ways that fibers can be sculpted to create spectacular artworks.

Exhibit Dates – August 2 through September 30, 2015

Exhibit Location – Cerritos Library, 18025 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos, California, 90703; Phone - (562) 916-1350

DOOR #?

MY INNER SELF PORTRAIT

detail from jo p. griffith's "Door #?"

A fine arts fiber exhibit exploring aspects of self-portraiture. In this exhibit the artist was asked to look beyond the mere physical and instead present an inner view. The art work may reflect how the artist sees themselves at this time, or at a formative moment in their life. Each piece reveals something unique to the individual and at the same time, that which is universal to all.

Today we feature jo p. griffith's "Door #?" fiber art piece that is part of our brand new exhibit entitled "My Inner Self Portrait".

jo's Artist Statement – My process often involves multiple techniques that have varying degrees of results and/or success, not unlike the choice of which door to open, or path to take.

This exhibit will debut at the 2015 Road to California quilt show, which will run from January 22 through 25 at the Ontario Convention Center.

This is the 25th anniversary for Road to California and we are proud to have this venue to showcase our new exhibit.

We are featuring details of each of the pieces leading up to the show. We hope you enjoy them and have a chance to see the full "My Inner Self Portrait" exhibit at Road.  For more information about the show, click on this link: Road to California
