"Becoming Me"

This is Mia Bloom's fiber art piece entitled "Becoming Me". It is part of Beyond the Edge's traveling exhibit entitled "My Inner Self Portrait".

Here is her Artist Statement:

This piece is a part of the “Peel Away The Layers” series that I started when I was approaching my 50th birthday.  I realized that I was peeling away the layers to become the woman that I am today. Underneath the layers is a slightly wonky, colorful woman.

"Invisible"

Laura Bisagna created this fiber art piece for Beyond the Edge's "My Inner Self Portrait" exhibit. This exhibit will be shown next in New Jersey at Mancuso's Quiltfest of New Jersey from March 5 through 8. This show is held at the Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, Somerset, New Jersey. We hope you have a chance to see the exhibit.

Each of these squares represents a different part of my life. I have lived in 20 different places all over the world and visited many more for vacation. There were happy and sad moments and every thing between and it all comes together in this piece.
